Terms & Conditions
The plain-language agreement for booking and staying with us. Please read it before you reserve.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of hotelluzpr.com (the “Site”) and your booking and stay at Hotel Luz, operated by 660 Calle Monserrate LLC (“Hotel Luz,” “we,” “us”). By booking a stay or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or book with us.
Bookings & reservations
- A reservation is confirmed once your payment is authorized and you receive a confirmation from us.
- Rates are shown per night in U.S. dollars and are subject to availability. A cleaning fee of $40 and 9% tax apply to each reservation, shown at checkout before you pay.
- Booking directly on this Site earns a 10% direct-booking discount with code LUZ10, applied at checkout.
- You are responsible for providing accurate guest information. You must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By booking, you authorize the charge for your stay as shown at checkout.
Cancellations & refunds
- Free cancellation up to 5 days before arrival for a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 5 days of arrival, no-shows, and early departures are not eligible for a refund, except where required by law.
- Refunds, when due, are issued to the original payment method and may take several business days to appear.
Check-in & check-out
- Check-in is available from 4:00 PM. Self check-in is seamless: you let yourself in with a private keypad code.
- Your door code is released through your verified email once your reservation and any required details are complete.
- Please observe the check-out time provided in your confirmation. Late check-out may be available as a paid add-on, subject to availability.
Add-ons & fees
- Pets — welcome with prior approval at $20 per night. Please request before arrival.
- Pack ’n Play / crib — $20 per night.
- Late check-out — $40, subject to availability.
- Optional add-ons are shown at checkout and added to your total.
House rules & guest conduct
- Occupancy may not exceed the number of guests booked for your room.
- No smoking indoors. Please be considerate of other guests and neighbors, especially during quiet hours.
- You are responsible for any damage to the room or property caused during your stay, beyond normal wear and tear.
- We may refuse service or end a stay without refund for unsafe, unlawful, or disruptive behavior.
The Luz concierge
Luz is our AI concierge. It provides helpful information about your stay, the hotel, and the neighborhood, and can assist with bookings. Responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate; they are not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. For anything important, a real member of our team is always available — please confirm critical details with us directly.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you share your mobile number with us, you may receive service and customer-care text messages from Hotel Luz about your reservation — confirmations, check-in and door-code details, and replies to your questions, some sent by our automated concierge. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of booking. Intellectual property
The Site, its content, design, text, images, and branding are owned by Hotel Luz or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse them without our written permission.
Disclaimers
The Site and our services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hotel Luz and 660 Calle Monserrate LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or your stay. Our total liability for any claim relating to a reservation will not exceed the amount you paid for that reservation.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hotel Luz and 660 Calle Monserrate LLC from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your conduct during your stay.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the courts located in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Your continued use of the Site or services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
