How text messaging works with Hotel Luz, the choices you have, and how we keep your mobile information private.
These SMS Terms describe the text-messaging program operated by Hotel Luz, a brand of 660 Calle Monserrate LLC (“Hotel Luz,” “we,” “us”). They work alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Program description
Hotel Luz sends text messages (SMS) to guests who provide a mobile number, to support and confirm their stay. Messages may include booking confirmations, check-in and door-code details, reminders, replies to questions you send us, and other customer-care and transactional updates related to a reservation. Some replies are generated by Luz, our automated AI concierge.
Consent & opt-in
You consent to receive text messages from Hotel Luz when you give us your mobile number — for example, when you book a stay, fill out our contact form, or text our hotel line at (787) 523-8431 — or when you reply to one of our messages. You can start a conversation any time by texting (787) 523-8431. Your consent to receive texts is not a condition of booking or of purchasing any goods or services.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us. We send messages in connection with your reservation or in direct response to texts you send us. We do not send recurring marketing or promotional text blasts through this program.
Message & data rates
Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Hotel Luz does not charge for the messages themselves.
Opt out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from our hotel line. After you reply STOP, we will send a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not send you further texts unless you opt back in. You can opt back in at any time by texting us again at (787) 523-8431.

Automated messages
Some or all of our replies are generated by an automated AI assistant (Luz). It can answer questions about your stay, the hotel, and the neighborhood, help with bookings, and route requests to our team. A real member of our team is always available — for anything important, please confirm with us directly.
Supported carriers
Our SMS program is supported on major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your privacy & mobile information
We respect your privacy. We use your mobile number and the contents of your texts only to respond to you and to deliver the messages described above.
We do not sell your personal information. No mobile information — including your phone number and your SMS opt-in and consent data — is shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share the limited information needed to send our own messages only with the service provider that carries them on our behalf (Twilio).
